Town of Salina | Roadside Drainage Improvements

The Salina Roadside Drainage Improvement Project was undertaken to address long-standing concerns among residents in the Town of Salina, who had been grappling with flooding yards and standing water. Our mission was clear: to correct these drainage issues and bring relief to the community.

To achieve this, we installed over 16,000 linear feet of 6” underdrain along the various streets, ensuring effective drainage solutions. This underdrain network was seamlessly connected to concrete catch basins and storm drains, creating a comprehensive system that efficiently managed excess water and prevented flooding.

In our commitment to excellence, we didn't stop at just fixing the drainage. We also prioritized the community's convenience. Interrupted driveways were carefully paved, and lawns were meticulously restored, ensuring that the project's impact was not only practical but also aesthetically pleasing.

An interesting historical note about the Town of Salina: its name is derived from the Latin word for “salt.” This historical reference harks back to the town's role in securing salt reservations from the Onondaga Indigenous Tribe in the late 17th and early 18th centuries for the purpose of salt manufacturing.
